© All rights reserved. The Annual Childrens Parade was held July 4, 2005 promptly 10 a.m. at Washington and Burton. About 65 children participated. Jazzy the Clown made balloon sculptures. New World Montessori School provided ice pops. Carvel (Summit Ave.) provided ice cream treats. The parade was led by the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department,and proceeded east on Washington to Terrace, south to Kipp Avenue and north to the starting point where prizes were awarded. All classifications and categories were judged prior to the The Parade. Prizes were awarded in the categories of patriotic, most original and most artistic to: costumed children on foot, wagons and tricycles, carriages, strollers, etc., decorated bicycles, floats, and grandparents corner with carriages and children on foot. Bicycle helmets were required for those on bicycles. Prizes awarded: First prize - Gold Medal; Second prize Silver Medal; Third prize and Honorable mention Bronze Medal. All participants received medals. If your child was registered, but inadvertently did not receive their medal, please contact the Boro Clerks office at 201-288-0195. Registration started at 9:30 a.m. and was limited to Hasbrouck Heights children up to 10 years of age, excluding the grandparents corner. The event was sponsored by the Mayors Celebrations Committee.
