© All rights reserved. Town Day was held Saturday, September 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Woodland Park. Admission was free. Highlights include free food and drinks (while supplies lasted), free give-a-ways, face painting, balloon artist, inflatable rides, etc. A concert by Ron Gartner was held from noon to 2 p.m. Ron delivered a dynamic, high-energy show with songs by Sinatra, Bennett, Darin and Sammy. Ron appeared during the Woodland Park Summer Concert Series on June 16. Tickets for Halloween in the Park were available. The Harvest Festival was also be held at Town Day under the pavillion and includes a pie baking and flower arrangement contest. There was no registration or fee. Judging was held from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Prize ribbons were awarded by age group (K thru 8th grade.) The VFW Post 4591 and the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department were available to check childrens bicycles and register them. Just about every community group had a table and showcase their organization. This event was sponsored by HH Recreation Department. Call 201-288-4143 for more info.
