Rights Reserved. On January 1, 2008, at 11:45 a.m., a Sine Die Meeting was held to conclude 2007 business. Councilwoman Carol Skiba, Councilman Leonard Introna and Mayor Ronald R. Jones were presented a Proclamation, Plaque and Key to Hasbrouck Heights. Mayor Jones gave a State of the Borough Address which reviewed the accomplishments of each department. The beginning of the 2008 year began with Borough Clerk Rose Marie Sees administering the Oath of Office to Mayor Rose Marie Heck, Councilwoman Sonya Buckman and Councilman David Gonzalez. Upon the seating of the new council members, Mayor Rose Marie Heck declared the 2008 Reorganization Meeting in session. There was a Salute to the Flag. Conchita Parker led the singing of "God Bless America," and an invocation was given by the Reverend Thomas Wisniewski, Parochial Vicar of Corpus Christi Church. Mayor Heck presented certificates to the Hasbrouck Heights High School Varsity Football Team State Champions and Varsity Cheerleaders. The Mayor administered the Oath of Office to the 2008 Fire Department Officers. There was an announcement of council assignments. Mayor Heck made her appointments and delivered her Inaugural Address. Council members made comments and the meeting was open to the public. Rev. Dianna Smith, Pastor of the First Reformed Church, provided the concluding Benediction. The meeting was adjourned and light refreshments were served in the Senior Center. ### ####
