Volunteers assembled at Miers Park (The Boulevard and Pasadena Avenue) and were provided with a "T" shirt, gloves and bio-degradable garbage bags. They broke into work groups and were assigned sections of Route 46 exits at The Boulevard and Terrace Avenue to clean up litter and debris. When the bags were full, they were left at curbside for the DPW to pick up. About a ton and a half of trash was collected. This event is sponsored by Heights Clean Communities Alliance, in conjunction with New Jersey Clean Communities. ### © 2009 The Gazette Newspaper. All Rights Reserved.
